JAZBA OF JUW GIRLS
It was a really exciting day when all girls of JUW united together and prayed for Pakistani Cricket team to win World cup 2011.Girls' enthusiasm was on peak.Everything seems Green on that Day.Girls sang patriotic songs and did face painting of Pakistani flag,ICC's logo and there was no diffrence among them that who is Punajbi,Balochi,sindhi or muhajir,everyone was just a PAKISTANI and we proud to be Pakistani.
Carnival Of JUW 2011
Carnival was arranged in Jinnah University For Women(JUW) on 26th of March.It has been the most colorful and enjoyable event through out the years of JUW,so it was this time as well.
Stalls of food,games,ready made garments and product marketing were set up by the outsiders and by the students of JUW as well.
Girls were enjoying by putting henna on their hands,making tattoos and on their faces,playing games and by having variety of continental food and aloud music.
Although it was a hot sunny day but still students enjoyed the event and event ended up at 3:00pm pleasantly.
Fingers crossed for next year's carnival.

The SPRING FESTIVAL 2011 IN NED:SECURITY RESTRICTIONS:
A tight security was made up,checking each and every person for security reasons,not allowing Non-Nedians before 3:30 PM.And after that the gate was open for outsiders\

FOOD STALLS:
Food stalls were so tempting,tantalizing the hunger of everyone.Stalls were in a number providing large variety of food that include desi,chinese,junk food,ice-creams,cold drinks,gola ganda,gol gappey even beetle leaf.Tha large crowd was noticed on the gola ganda stall,stalled by Anam Abbas and her friends.They named their stall "mechanical ka Jhakas Gola Ganda" for wich they paid 1500 by their own.

GAMES STALLS:Every student was enjoying the games,the Nedians showed their highest creativity out there.Games stalls were genious ideas,every stall was providing full entertainment,enjoyment and a laughter package,entertaining Nedians,Non-Nedians,teacher even boring stall holders.The most genious and full on entertainment game stall were SPONGE GAME,BLIND HIT,SHOOTING,MINUTE TO WIN IT.
The most prominent marketting stall were Oriflame Swedish Cosmetics,holded by Mehwish Iftikhar(the share holder),Mayma housing Scheme lead Mr.Faizan,And the UK study Consultant Mr.Masoor Ahmed who was the represntative of 17 univeristies in United Kingdom.The Abott Laboratory stall was also there just giving awareness to the students about their products.
The Students was enjoying alot eating,gaming,laughing.Some of them were also participating in stage performances like in singing.The student of Electronics Department,Maisra Ali commented that she and her friends enjoyed alot,so these kind of events should be arranged every year to make the students entertain.
CELEBRITY GUESTS:
Celebrity guest were Fahad Mustufa,Ali Saphina,Imran Abbas,ZIEST band and Vj Jewl were also invited in the fun fair,which inhance the excitement and the color of the event.Most of the students commented that these celebbrity guests made their event more special.

MIDTERM OR A NIGHTMARE
Midterms are about to start and midterms are always like a nightmare,which make us awake from a deep sleep and shake us and say "get up my girl! time has come to take your studies seriously" and we say "No! We want to sleep more,its too early to be get awaken!" But this nightmare take the sleep away and bring lots of awaken nights with it.Though we start preparing and finishing the midterm in a short while,the sound of FINAL EXAMS in the air everywhere.A monster followed by a nightmare :( HELP US!

"Uncovered" Sewerage Lines in Main Cafeteria
"Health is Wealth" but we see disease makers all around us like the uncovered sewerage lines in main cafeteria on Jinnah University For Women(JUW).
"We eat and see sewerage water flowing infront of us," said Sadia M.A. Final student,Dept. of BBA. The cafeteria of JUW is the place where girls don't prefer eating,they just buy the food and go to their class rooms,garden or footpaths.Sadia further said that these uncovered lines never have been covered in her entire university life.No-one even bother to give attension to this side.
"Its disgusting to eat over here," student of dept. of mathematics Ramsha said.She further said the cafeteria is not clean as it should be,not only the uncovered sewerage lines,the garbage is scattered through out the cafeteria and students are cause of it.Girls just through the garbage where ever they finish the food.
The Administration said,"We are working for the better environment that would be neat and clean cafeteria and covering the gutter lines.But girls have to be part of it,because without their contribution university can not be clean."

CITIZEN JOURNALISM-One Step Forward
Recently a seminar was organized by the faculty of Mass Communication.In which the Anchor and the Producer of the show "Meri Nazar" Mr.Owais Mangalwala gave awareness to the mass com. students about his new show base on Citizen Journalism through DAWN television channel.There main purpose of this show is to"DAWN NEWS wants to see the world through your lens".He further said the citizen journalist is the formalized form of eye witness.

3-Sharing Of Discovery
4-Sharing Of Expertise
He said every person has the right to share his/her idea and the world should be aware oh his point of view.It could be revolutionary as well.So a citizen journalist should highlight the issues which are neglected by media or correction.They are providing the criteria for citizen journalist by patching up an experienced reporter with him for better mistake free work.
Key points for citizen journalist are:
1-Material should be on factual events.No addition of your own opinion.
2-Events are all around us so you don't have to wait for something big to be happen.
3-Make your own point of view.
4-Don't think your topic would be boring or uninteresting.
5-Be descriptive,don't exaggerate.
6-You have to be deadly accurate.
7-Usage of correct words without any grammatical mistakes.
8-Code of conduct should be correct.
9-Avoid bringing copy paste material.
10-read the format of Associated Press.
11-Share your material with good reporters.
12-Finally get feedback of others.
13-Keep your eyes open.Everyone can report and everything can be reported.
And he further said if you follow these steps,you will be a good reporter.And by this the seminar went to end.
